We believe that God longs for intimacy with His bride and that He is calling us to a greater place of communion with Him. We seek to provide a place for the hungry to eat and for the passionate searcher to find rest. Josh and Brittany Coates
Josh and Brittany grew up in Alabama as pastor’s kids. They were married in 2012 and have served in full-time Ministry ever since. In 2016, they founded The Upper Room in Troy, Alabama with the desire to start a movement that modeled not only what was in their hearts, but what God longed for as well.
Josh entered ministry after radically encountering Jesus in February of 2003. From that moment, his love shifted from flying planes to knowing Jesus. Josh completed his Bachelor of Theology in 2008 and his Master of Ministry in 2017. His primary gifting is as an apostolic teacher and his life is devoted to leading others into a deeper relationship with the Heavenly Father.
Brittany is a passionate lover of Jesus. She serves our home ministry by leading prophetic worship and is primarily gifted as a prophet and pastor. Brittany completed her Bachelor degree in Human Services and Leadership in 2018 and is eager to see God do great things in this last day outpouring. Brittany serves as an administrator and contributor for Passion for Presence Ministries and she has a burning desire to set others on fire for Jesus.
